Baine was surrendered to us by an elderly man who wanted to euthanize him due to Baine having mange. We asked the owner if he would surrender him to us because we felt that his ailments were treatable. Baine was so swollen from his skin infection that we couldn’t pin point his breed in the beginning. Once the mange was under control and the skin infection started to clear, it became very apparent that Baine was a Shar Pei mix.  Baine has only ever known being tied up in the backyard. He never had the luxury of being shown attention or being off his chain. We aren’t even sure that he was fed on a regular basis as he was skin and bones when he arrived, but for a dog that has had his past; he is very gentle and sweet. He does enjoy jumping, running, and playing, but we are certain with the right home; he could be the perfect house dog (with manners). Baine is kennel trained, but he has never been inside a home so we cannot speak to his house-training.
